A photography exhibition on the theme of “40-year brilliant changes in ancient capital” kicked off at Beijing municipal urban construction archive on June 11, 2018.
Covering an area of about 500 square meters, the exhibition is divided into areas of displaying old streets in early years of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, before-and-after photos taken at same locations and viewing historical videos.
More than 1,000 precious photos and videos are exhibited, involving historical and cultural city conservation, urban roads, overpasses, railway stations, culture and education, medical and health care, commercial finance and residential buildings.
Most of those are shown for the first time and the exhibition displays the largest number of audiovisual archives to the public over the years.
The exhibition will last for two months. Individuals can feel free to visit without appointment. For visiting groups consisting of ten people or above, tour guide services can be reserved by phone three working days in advance.
